Hi, I’m Rob. I started my career in food by learning how to boil, bake, and serve bagels (and clean an industrial kitchen) when I was 15. Since then, I’ve done every job in the food industry:

from washing dishes to owning a pub,

from fine dining service to catering trucks & festival tents,

from front-of-house greetings to back-of-house sous-cheffing and everything in between!

I’ve worked with teams and been a one-person show in the kitchen, behind the bar, and at the table.

No matter where I am and what I’m doing, I believe working in food is an art and a science that is grounded in safety and warm hospitality. I use real-world examples while teaching my ServSafe test prep classes and do my best to make the material interesting and relatable to everyone.
